photos by Neill Taylor

This beautiful Greek island has a wealth of breathtaking sights, still largely unspoilt despite the upsurge in tourism thanks to the musically-talented Italian army officer. As it rises sharply from the Ionian Sea, its shores join the lush mountain foliage to an exquisite palette of deep blues in its sparking clear waters.

Here are some of my attempts to capture its beauty, during a wonderful visit in September 2001.
